How Screen Sharing Helps Customer Support

Use consent-based screen sharing for problems that are difficult to describe.

Screen sharing can shorten troubleshooting when a visitor cannot easily explain an interface problem. The support agent can see the selected tab, window or screen and guide the visitor through the next step. Because screen sharing can expose sensitive information, consent is essential. Explain what sharing means, tell the visitor to hide confidential content, let them reject the request, and require the browser native screen-selection permission before sharing begins. The visitor should always see a visible sharing state and a Stop Sharing control. Never imply that the platform can prevent a visitor from selecting a different window unless the browser actually provides that guarantee.
